8 Days in the Tuscan Archipelago

Porto Santo Stefano - Giglio Island

From the Argentario promontory, set sail towards Giglio, an island dominated by granite and surrounded by limpid waters.

Giglio Porto welcomes you with its colorful houses, while secluded coves and transparent seabeds invite you to a first stop at sea.

Giglio Island - Giannutri - Giglio Island

The course leads to Giannutri, a small crescent-shaped island, characterized by rocky shores and unspoiled nature.

The ruins of the Roman villa and the bays of Cala Maestra and Cala Spalmatoio tell the story of a place suspended between history and silence.

Giglio Island - Elba Island

Leaving Giglio behind, the navigation crosses the Tuscan Archipelago to Elba, the largest of its islands. Seaside villages, golden beaches, mountains, and promontories introduce a destination rich in ever-changing landscapes.

Elba Island (West Coast)

The western coast of Elba is the wildest and most mountainous, dominated by the profile of Monte Capanne. Villages like Marciana Marina alternate with rocky coves, light sandy beaches, and bays immersed in Mediterranean vegetation.

Elba Island (East Coast)

The eastern coast reveals the island’s mining past, visible in the intense colors of the rocks and soil.

Porto Azzurro, Rio Marina, and the surrounding bays combine small ports, sheltered beaches, and panoramas with a decisive character.

Elba Island - Pianosa - Elba Island

Pianosa emerges from the sea with its low and flat profile, completely different from the other islands of the archipelago.

The crystal-clear waters, protected nature, and traces of the ancient penal colony create an intimate and timeless atmosphere.

Elba Island - Capraia

The navigation continues towards Capraia, a volcanic island with high, jagged coasts.

The small port, intensely colored rocks, and bays accessible only by sea define its most authentic and wild character.

Capraia - Portoferraio

Leaving Capraia, the route returns towards Elba to Portoferraio, enclosed within a large natural harbor.

Medicean fortifications and houses overlooking the sea accompany your arrival, concluding the journey in one of the archipelago’s most evocative anchorages.

FAQ

How is the itinerary defined?

Each itinerary is tailored alongside the Captain and the charter team, based on the guests’ preferences, the duration of the cruise, and the desired destinations. Every detail is carefully planned to create a bespoke journey. The itinerary remains flexible and can be adapted during the cruise according to weather conditions, port availability, or guests’ needs, always under the Captain’s supervision.

Yes. Weather and sea conditions can influence navigation and require adjustments to some stops. In these cases, the Captain will always propose alternatives designed to ensure comfort, safety, and the best possible experience on board.

The itinerary is agreed upon with the guests, but the Captain plays a key role thanks to their knowledge of the destination, navigation conditions, and best anchorages. Following their suggestions allows guests to experience a more authentic, relaxed, and safe cruise. Upon request, a proposed itinerary can be provided to maximize the cruising experience and highlight the features of the chosen destination.

The APA is an advance fund paid by the Charterer at least one month before departure, usually 25–30% of the charter fee for sailing yachts and 35–40% for motor yachts. This amount covers the operational expenses of the cruise, such as fuel, moorings, port taxes, provisions, and any additional requests made during the charter. Throughout the navigation, the Captain keeps track of all expenses and regularly updates the guests. At the end of the cruise, a detailed statement with supporting receipts will be provided: any unused funds will be refunded, while additional costs must be settled before disembarkation.

Delivery Fees cover the cost of relocating the yacht to or from a port other than its base. They apply when the charter begins or ends in a location different from the yacht’s usual mooring. The fee is generally calculated based on fuel consumption, the distance to be covered, and the time required to transfer the yacht and crew. Delivery Fees can vary based on the season, yacht availability, and the schedule of previous or subsequent charters, and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

At least one month before departure, the Charterer sends the Broker a Preference List with all the information necessary to customize the onboard experience. Through this document, guests can indicate dietary preferences, allergies or intolerances, special requests, and any other detail useful for the crew to prepare the cruise with the utmost care. This information allows the Captain, chef, and crew to organize every aspect of the service accurately and tailor-made, ensuring an experience perfectly aligned with the guests’ needs.

The crew gratuity is not included in the charter fee and is generally offered at the end of the cruise as a gesture of appreciation for the service received on board. In the yachting industry, it is customary to acknowledge an amount usually between 10% and 15% of the charter fee, although it remains entirely discretionary. It is an established practice in international chartering, which we share transparently to provide guests with a useful reference.
