Sporades
The Sporades are one of the most captivating charter itineraries in the Mediterranean — a small green archipelago of four islands in the northern Aegean, where fragrant pine woods run straight down to emerald water. Cruising these waters aboard a Sanlorenzo yacht means discovering a world of turquoise coves, blue-and-white villages, ruined Venetian fortresses and the largest marine park in Europe. From Skiathos with its sixty beaches to the theatrical Chora of Skopelos, from the green heart of Alonissos to the remote Skyros, every stop reveals a distinctive, deeply Sporadic character.
Koukounaries beach with its pine forest, the iconic Agios Ioannis chapel of Mamma Mia!, the waters of Lalaria, the Marine Park with its Mediterranean monk seals: the Sporades offer a genuinely Greek retreat far from mass tourism. Traditional cuisine in hillside villages such as Glossa, Skopelos feta and dried plums round out a living Aegean heritage.
A charter in the Sporades is an invitation to discover an intimate, pine-scented Aegean, between forests, small taverns and some of the clearest waters in Greece.

8 Days in the Sporades Islands
Volos - Skiathos
The journey sets off from Volos, crossing the Pagasetic Gulf to Skiathos, the liveliest of the Northern Sporades.
Golden beaches, pine forests that reach down to the sea and an elegant town overlooking the harbour introduce the bright, relaxed atmosphere of the archipelago.
Skiathos - Tsougria - Skiathos
A short cruise leads to Tsougria, a small uninhabited island ringed by clear waters and sheltered bays.
A day for swimming, relaxing and nature, before heading back to Skiathos for a stroll through the town’s lively streets and along the waterfront taverns.
Skiathos - Skopelos
On to Skopelos, a green, authentic island shaped by dense pine forests, indented coastlines and small traditional harbours.
Arrival in the town of the same name reveals a weave of whitewashed houses, terracotta roofs, chapels and lanes climbing the hillside.
Skopelos - Panormos Bay - Skopelos
The day is dedicated to the island’s western coast and to Panormos Bay, one of Skopelos’s most striking anchorages.
Crystal-clear waters, sheltered by pine-covered hills, invite long stops at sea before returning to the port of Skopelos.
Skopelos - Agios Ioannis Chapel - Skopelos
Cruising along the northern coast to the chapel of Agios Ioannis, perched on the top of a rocky spur overlooking the Aegean.
Its dramatic setting and sweeping sea views make it one of the island’s most iconic sights — best admired straight from the water.
Skopelos - Alonissos
The route continues to Alonissos, the quietest and most unspoilt of the archipelago’s main islands.
Green landscapes, small bays and crystal-clear waters accompany the arrival at a place deeply tied to nature and the protection of the marine environment.
Alonissos - Alonissos Marine Park - Kyra Panagia
Entering the National Marine Park of Alonissos and the Northern Sporades, a large protected area of islands, islets and habitats of great value.
The cruise leads to Kyra Panagia, a remote, silent island — perfect for anchoring between wild coasts and bays far from the usual routes.
Kyra Panagia - Peristera - Skiathos - Volos
The final day begins with a stop at Peristera, among quiet inlets and remarkably clear waters.
The cruise then continues to Skiathos, before the last leg back to Volos, closing the voyage among the green, luminous landscapes of the Northern Sporades.

GOOD TO KNOW
FAQ
How is the itinerary defined?
Every itinerary is tailored together with the Captain and the charter team, based on the guests’ preferences, the length of the cruise and the destinations they wish to visit. Every detail is planned with care to create a truly bespoke journey. The itinerary remains flexible and can be adjusted during the cruise according to weather conditions, port availability or the guests’ wishes, always under the Captain’s supervision.
Can the itinerary change during the cruise?
Yes. Weather and sea conditions can affect navigation and may require certain stops to be changed. When this happens, the Captain will always propose alternatives designed to ensure comfort, safety and the best possible experience on board.
Who decides the stops and sailing times?
The itinerary is agreed with the guests, but the Captain plays a key role thanks to their knowledge of the destination, sailing conditions and the best anchorages. Following their suggestions allows guests to enjoy a more authentic, relaxed and safe cruise. On request, a proposed itinerary can be provided to make the most of the sailing experience and highlight the character of the chosen destination.
What is the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance)?
What are Delivery Fees?
Delivery Fees cover the cost of moving the yacht to or from a port other than its base. They apply when the charter begins or ends somewhere other than the yacht’s usual berth. The fee is generally calculated on fuel consumption, the distance to be covered and the time required to relocate the yacht and crew. Delivery Fees can vary depending on the season, the yacht’s availability and the scheduling of previous or following charters, and are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
What is the Preference List?
At least one month before departure, the Charterer sends the Broker a Preference List containing all the information needed to personalise the experience on board. Through this document guests can indicate food preferences, allergies or intolerances, special requests and any other detail that will help the crew prepare the cruise with the utmost care. This information allows the Captain, chef and crew to arrange every aspect of the service with precision and tailored attention, ensuring an experience perfectly aligned with the guests’ wishes.
Is the crew gratuity included?
The crew gratuity is not included in the charter fee and is generally offered at the end of the cruise as a token of appreciation for the service received on board. In the yachting industry it is customary to recognise an amount typically between 10% and 15% of the charter fee, though it remains entirely discretionary. It is a well-established practice in international charter, which we share openly so guests have a useful reference.
