8 Days in the Dodecanese

Kos - Nisyros

The journey sets off from Kos, cruising to Nisyros, one of the most fascinating and least-known islands in the Dodecanese.

The island’s volcanic profile accompanies the arrival at Mandraki, among whitewashed houses, shaded squares and lanes that preserve a genuinely Greek atmosphere.

Nisyros - Tilos

On to Tilos, a quiet, unspoilt island shaped by mountains, small beaches and silent bays.

Off the busier routes, it offers a day set by nature, swims in clear water and the relaxed rhythm of island life.

Tilos - Rhodes

The cruise leads to Rhodes, the largest and most cosmopolitan of the Dodecanese islands.

Its medieval old town, ringed by imposing walls, tells centuries of history, while the harbour and seafront reveal the island’s liveliest, most elegant side.

Rhodes - Symi

Leaving Rhodes to reach Symi, recognisable on arrival for its elegant pastel-coloured neoclassical houses.

The harbour of Gialos, set like an amphitheatre on the hillsides, invites strolls between workshops, waterfront cafés and views that look straight out of a postcard.

Symi - Datça - Symi

The day crosses the stretch of sea between Symi and the Turkish coast to reach Datça. Framed by mountains and deep-blue water, the town offers a pleasant seafront, artisan markets and a relaxed atmosphere. In the afternoon, back to Symi for the evening in its striking harbour.

Symi - Leros

The route continues north to Leros, an island of indented coasts and sheltered inlets. Between quiet bays, buildings of Italian influence, Byzantine chapels and the castle that watches over Agia Marina, Leros reveals a quiet, deeply Mediterranean character.

Leros - Patmos

Cruising on to Patmos, known for its mystical atmosphere and the spiritual heritage that has shaped its history.

Above the port of Skala, the village of Chora spreads around the Monastery of St. John, among white houses, hidden courtyards and open views across the Aegean.

Patmos - Kos

The final day heads back to Kos, crossing the luminous waters of the Dodecanese. One last cruise between islands, headlands and open horizons closes the voyage, drawing together the wild nature, history and different identities encountered along the route.

FAQ

How is the itinerary defined?

Every itinerary is tailored together with the Captain and the charter team, based on the guests’ preferences, the length of the cruise and the destinations they wish to visit. Every detail is planned with care to create a truly bespoke journey. The itinerary remains flexible and can be adjusted during the cruise according to weather conditions, port availability or the guests’ wishes, always under the Captain’s supervision.

Yes. Weather and sea conditions can affect navigation and may require certain stops to be changed. When this happens, the Captain will always propose alternatives designed to ensure comfort, safety and the best possible experience on board.

The itinerary is agreed with the guests, but the Captain plays a key role thanks to their knowledge of the destination, sailing conditions and the best anchorages. Following their suggestions allows guests to enjoy a more authentic, relaxed and safe cruise. On request, a proposed itinerary can be provided to make the most of the sailing experience and highlight the character of the chosen destination.

The APA is an advance fund paid by the Charterer at least one month before departure, typically 25–30% of the charter fee for sailing yachts and 35–40% for motor yachts. This sum covers the operating costs of the cruise, such as fuel, mooring, port fees, provisions and any additional requests made during the charter. Throughout the voyage, the Captain keeps track of all expenses and updates the guests regularly. At the end of the cruise a detailed statement is provided together with supporting receipts: any unused funds are refunded, while additional costs must be settled before disembarking.

Delivery Fees cover the cost of moving the yacht to or from a port other than its base. They apply when the charter begins or ends somewhere other than the yacht’s usual berth. The fee is generally calculated on fuel consumption, the distance to be covered and the time required to relocate the yacht and crew. Delivery Fees can vary depending on the season, the yacht’s availability and the scheduling of previous or following charters, and are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

At least one month before departure, the Charterer sends the Broker a Preference List containing all the information needed to personalise the experience on board. Through this document guests can indicate food preferences, allergies or intolerances, special requests and any other detail that will help the crew prepare the cruise with the utmost care. This information allows the Captain, chef and crew to arrange every aspect of the service with precision and tailored attention, ensuring an experience perfectly aligned with the guests’ wishes.

The crew gratuity is not included in the charter fee and is generally offered at the end of the cruise as a token of appreciation for the service received on board. In the yachting industry it is customary to recognise an amount typically between 10% and 15% of the charter fee, though it remains entirely discretionary. It is a well-established practice in international charter, which we share openly so guests have a useful reference.
