Cyclades
The Cyclades are one of the most captivating charter itineraries in the Mediterranean — an archipelago of more than two hundred volcanic islands scattered across the Aegean. Cruising these waters aboard a Sanlorenzo yacht means discovering a world of whitewashed cubic houses, Venetian windmills, hypnotic hillside villages perched on volcanic cliffs and legendary sunsets. From Santorini with its volcanic caldera to Mykonos, the Aegean’s cosmopolitan capital, from the ancient sacred island of Delos to the lunar landscapes of Milos, every stop reveals a distinctive, deeply Cycladic character.
The neoclassical harbour of Naoussa on Paros, the iconic Portara of Naxos, the Minoan ruins of Akrotiri, the volcanic Kleftiko of Milos, the moon-like Sarakiniko: the Cyclades offer some of the most striking anchorages in the Mediterranean, brought to life by Michelin-starred restaurants such as Lauda and Botrini’s, beach clubs like Nammos and Scorpios, and the volcanic Assyrtiko wines found nowhere else in the world.
A charter in the Cyclades is an invitation to experience the Aegean in complete freedom, between golden sunsets, windmills and turquoise waters of extraordinary intensity.

8 Days in the Cyclades
Paros - Mykonos
The journey sets off from Paros, in the heart of the Cyclades, cruising to Mykonos. Arrival reveals a landscape of white houses, windmills and narrow lanes that spill down to the sea.
Mykonos - Delos - Paros
A short cruise leads to Delos, one of the most important archaeological sites in the Aegean and the religious heart of ancient Greece. After a visit among temples, mosaics and ancient houses, the route continues to Paros, reaching Naoussa — an elegant fishing village alive with boutiques, taverns and cafés overlooking the harbour.
Paros - Antiparos
Cruising along the western coast of Paros to Antiparos, an island with a quiet, refined character.
The crystal-clear waters of the Panteronisia islets invite a long stop for swimming, before reaching the small harbour and strolling among whitewashed houses, flower-filled courtyards and traditional taverns.
Antiparos - Naxos
The route continues to Naxos, the largest and greenest of the Cyclades. Golden beaches, inland villages and a long agricultural tradition define the island’s character.
At the entrance to the harbour, the monumental Portara frames the sea and offers one of the most striking sunsets in the archipelago.
Naxos - Koufonisia
Leaving Naxos to reach Koufonisia, in the heart of the Small Cyclades. Bays of turquoise water, pale beaches and small coves reachable only from the sea set the tone for a day of swimming, unhurried relaxation and the most authentic side of the Aegean.
Koufonisia - Ios
The cruise continues to Ios, an island known for the contrast between its wild coastline and its lively summer atmosphere.
After a stop in one of its sheltered bays, we reach Chora, a weave of narrow lanes, stone stairways and whitewashed chapels climbing the hillside with sweeping sea views.
Ios - Santorini
On to Santorini, sailing into the spectacular caldera formed by the ancient volcano. The dark cliffs, crowned by whitewashed villages, create one of the most recognisable scenes in the Mediterranean.
A pause in the waters of the caldera precedes a visit to Oia or Fira and the famous sunset over the Aegean.
Santorini - Folegandros - Paros
The final day leads to Folegandros, an essential, authentic island with tall cliffs and unspoilt landscapes.
After a stop in its clear waters, the cruise heads back to Paros, closing the voyage between the white geometry, deep-blue sea and unmistakable light of the Cyclades.

GOOD TO KNOW
FAQ
How is the itinerary defined?
Every itinerary is tailored together with the Captain and the charter team, based on the guests’ preferences, the length of the cruise and the destinations they wish to visit. Every detail is planned with care to create a truly bespoke journey. The itinerary remains flexible and can be adjusted during the cruise according to weather conditions, port availability or the guests’ wishes, always under the Captain’s supervision.
Can the itinerary change during the cruise?
Yes. Weather and sea conditions can affect navigation and may require certain stops to be changed. When this happens, the Captain will always propose alternatives designed to ensure comfort, safety and the best possible experience on board.
Who decides the stops and sailing times?
The itinerary is agreed with the guests, but the Captain plays a key role thanks to their knowledge of the destination, sailing conditions and the best anchorages. Following their suggestions allows guests to enjoy a more authentic, relaxed and safe cruise. On request, a proposed itinerary can be provided to make the most of the sailing experience and highlight the character of the chosen destination.
What is the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance)?
The APA is an advance fund paid by the Charterer at least one month before departure, typically 25–30% of the charter fee for sailing yachts and 35–40% for motor yachts. This sum covers the operating costs of the cruise, such as fuel, mooring, port fees, provisions and any additional requests made during the charter. Throughout the voyage, the Captain keeps track of all expenses and updates the guests regularly. At the end of the cruise a detailed statement is provided together with supporting receipts: any unused funds are refunded, while additional costs must be settled before disembarking.
What are Delivery Fees?
Delivery Fees cover the cost of moving the yacht to or from a port other than its base. They apply when the charter begins or ends somewhere other than the yacht’s usual berth. The fee is generally calculated on fuel consumption, the distance to be covered and the time required to relocate the yacht and crew. Delivery Fees can vary depending on the season, the yacht’s availability and the scheduling of previous or following charters, and are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
What is the Preference List?
At least one month before departure, the Charterer sends the Broker a Preference List containing all the information needed to personalise the experience on board. Through this document guests can indicate food preferences, allergies or intolerances, special requests and any other detail that will help the crew prepare the cruise with the utmost care. This information allows the Captain, chef and crew to arrange every aspect of the service with precision and tailored attention, ensuring an experience perfectly aligned with the guests’ wishes.
Is the crew gratuity included?
The crew gratuity is not included in the charter fee and is generally offered at the end of the cruise as a token of appreciation for the service received on board. In the yachting industry it is customary to recognise an amount typically between 10% and 15% of the charter fee, though it remains entirely discretionary. It is a well-established practice in international charter, which we share openly so guests have a useful reference.
