French Riviera
The French Riviera is arguably the most famous stretch of coastline in the world: a ribbon of cobalt-blue sea between Menton and Saint-Tropez, where the Alps drop straight into the Mediterranean and every sunrise brings a light that has inspired Matisse, Picasso and generations of artists. Cruising these waters aboard a Sanlorenzo yacht means discovering the Côte d’Azur at its most authentic: private anchorages in the coves of Cap d’Antibes, sunset drinks in the port of Saint-Tropez, the peaceful Îles de Lérins lying offshore from Cannes.
From the timeless glamour of Monaco to the monastic hush of Saint-Honorat, from the world capital of perfume in Grasse to the legendary beaches of Pampelonne, every stop reveals a distinctive, irreplaceable character. The Riviera isn’t visited — it’s lived, savoured, breathed in, one harbour at a time.
A charter on the French Riviera is an invitation to sail in complete freedom along one of the most dreamed-of coasts in the world, where effortless elegance meets a beauty that needs no explanation.

8 Days on the French Riviera
Monte Carlo - Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
The voyage begins in Monte Carlo, where the coast shines with a quiet grandeur, before heading to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat — a peninsula of pine-shaded villas and secluded bays that has always drawn those who prefer privacy to display.
Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat - Villefranche-sur-Mer
A short cruise leads to Villefranche-sur-Mer, cradled by one of the deepest natural bays in the Mediterranean. Ochre façades tumble down to the water, and the bay invites a slow morning at anchor.
Villefranche-sur-Mer - Antibes
Continuing west to Antibes, where the ramparts meet the sea and the old town opens into a maze of markets and stone. Just beyond, Cap d’Antibes hides gardens and historic residences in an atmosphere of absolute discretion.
Antibes - Cannes - Îles de Lérins
A pause in Cannes, between its elegant seafront and refined glamour, before reaching the Îles de Lérins. Here, eucalyptus woods and a monastery vineyard offer a stillness far removed from the rhythm of the mainland.
Îles de Lérins - Saint-Tropez
Cruising on to Saint-Tropez, where the charm of a fishing village meets an easy, unstudied elegance. Afternoons drift by between the port, the narrow lanes and that light which has inspired artists from around the world for more than a century.
Saint-Tropez - Cap Taillat - Porquerolles
Rounding the wild headland of Cap Taillat — a protected stretch of Mediterranean scrub and turquoise water — before reaching Porquerolles, an island of white-sand beaches and pine-scented paths.
Porquerolles - Île d’Or - Saint-Raphaël
Skirting the Île d’Or, with its rust-coloured tower rising from the sea, on to Saint-Raphaël, where the red rocks of the Estérel meet the Mediterranean blue to create one of the most striking scenes on the Riviera.
Saint-Raphaël - Monte Carlo
A final eastward passage returns to Monte Carlo, as the Estérel and the open sea give way to the quiet splendour of the Principality, closing the journey where it began.

GOOD TO KNOW
FAQ
How is the itinerary defined?
Every itinerary is tailored together with the Captain and the charter team, based on the guests’ preferences, the length of the cruise and the destinations they wish to visit. Every detail is planned with care to create a truly bespoke journey. The itinerary remains flexible and can be adjusted during the cruise according to weather conditions, port availability or the guests’ wishes, always under the Captain’s supervision.
Can the itinerary change during the cruise?
Yes. Weather and sea conditions can affect navigation and may require certain stops to be changed. When this happens, the Captain will always propose alternatives designed to ensure comfort, safety and the best possible experience on board.
Who decides the stops and sailing times?
The itinerary is agreed with the guests, but the Captain plays a key role thanks to their knowledge of the destination, sailing conditions and the best anchorages. Following their suggestions allows guests to enjoy a more authentic, relaxed and safe cruise. On request, a proposed itinerary can be provided to make the most of the sailing experience and highlight the character of the chosen destination.
What is the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance)?
The APA is an advance fund paid by the Charterer at least one month before departure, typically 25–30% of the charter fee for sailing yachts and 35–40% for motor yachts. This sum covers the operating costs of the cruise, such as fuel, mooring, port fees, provisions and any additional requests made during the charter. Throughout the voyage, the Captain keeps track of all expenses and updates the guests regularly. At the end of the cruise a detailed statement is provided together with supporting receipts: any unused funds are refunded, while additional costs must be settled before disembarking.
What are Delivery Fees?
Delivery Fees cover the cost of moving the yacht to or from a port other than its base. They apply when the charter begins or ends somewhere other than the yacht’s usual berth. The fee is generally calculated on fuel consumption, the distance to be covered and the time required to relocate the yacht and crew. Delivery Fees can vary depending on the season, the yacht’s availability and the scheduling of previous or following charters, and are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
What is the Preference List?
At least one month before departure, the Charterer sends the Broker a Preference List containing all the information needed to personalise the experience on board. Through this document guests can indicate food preferences, allergies or intolerances, special requests and any other detail that will help the crew prepare the cruise with the utmost care. This information allows the Captain, chef and crew to arrange every aspect of the service with precision and tailored attention, ensuring an experience perfectly aligned with the guests’ wishes.
Is the crew gratuity included?
The crew gratuity is not included in the charter fee and is generally offered at the end of the cruise as a token of appreciation for the service received on board. In the yachting industry it is customary to recognise an amount typically between 10% and 15% of the charter fee, though it remains entirely discretionary. It is a well-established practice in international charter, which we share openly so guests have a useful reference.
