8 Days in the Balearic Islands

Mahón

The capital of Menorca welcomes guests to one of the largest natural harbours in the world, a majestic mooring framed by Georgian façades and a waterfront rich in history. A quiet, refined way to begin the voyage — the perfect moment to settle into the yacht before exploring the island’s coves.

Mahón - Ciutadella

Cruising along Menorca’s sheltered southern shore — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve dotted with turquoise inlets accessible only from the sea. Drop anchor off Cala Macarelleta or Cala Turqueta before reaching Ciutadella, the island’s former capital, with its sandstone palazzi and evocative old harbour.

Ciutadella - Pollença (Mallorca)

A crossing to the north-east of Mallorca leads to the wide bay of Pollença, framed by the peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana. Peaceful anchorages, pine-covered headlands and long days at sea set the tone for a slow, elegant rhythm.

Pollença - Sóller

Cruising along Mallorca’s most spectacular coastline, where the mountains fall sheer into the sea. Pause at Sa Foradada or Cala Deià, then continue to the elegant port of Sóller — gateway to a valley of citrus groves and to the island’s historic wooden tram.

Sóller - Palma

Following the Tramuntana coast down to Palma, the island’s sophisticated capital. The Gothic silhouette of La Seu cathedral dominates the bay, giving way to historic streets lined with boutiques, elegant marinas and a celebrated dining scene.

Palma - Ibiza

A westward passage leads to Ibiza, where cosmopolitan flair meets natural beauty. Anchor at the foot of the walls of Dalt Vila, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to enjoy the shift from the golden calm of the afternoon to the harbour’s legendary evening atmosphere.

Ibiza - Formentera

A short hop south leads to Formentera, the Mediterranean’s answer to the Caribbean. Anchor off Ses Illetes — consistently ranked among the finest beaches in the world — for a day of ivory sand, translucent water and effortless, barefoot elegance.

Formentera - Es Vedrà - Ibiza

The return leg passes the striking monolith of Es Vedrà, rising from the sea off Ibiza’s south-west coast. A final anchorage and a last swim close the journey in the most scenic spot in the archipelago.

FAQ

How is the itinerary defined?

Every itinerary is tailored together with the Captain and the charter team, based on the guests’ preferences, the length of the cruise and the destinations they wish to visit. Every detail is planned with care to create a truly bespoke journey. The itinerary remains flexible and can be adjusted during the cruise according to weather conditions, port availability or the guests’ wishes, always under the Captain’s supervision.

Yes. Weather and sea conditions can affect navigation and may require certain stops to be changed. When this happens, the Captain will always propose alternatives designed to ensure comfort, safety and the best possible experience on board.

The itinerary is agreed with the guests, but the Captain plays a key role thanks to their knowledge of the destination, sailing conditions and the best anchorages. Following their suggestions allows guests to enjoy a more authentic, relaxed and safe cruise. On request, a proposed itinerary can be provided to make the most of the sailing experience and highlight the character of the chosen destination.

The APA is an advance fund paid by the Charterer at least one month before departure, typically 25–30% of the charter fee for sailing yachts and 35–40% for motor yachts. This sum covers the operating costs of the cruise, such as fuel, mooring, port fees, provisions and any additional requests made during the charter. Throughout the voyage, the Captain keeps track of all expenses and updates the guests regularly. At the end of the cruise a detailed statement is provided together with supporting receipts: any unused funds are refunded, while additional costs must be settled before disembarking.

Delivery Fees cover the cost of moving the yacht to or from a port other than its base. They apply when the charter begins or ends somewhere other than the yacht’s usual berth. The fee is generally calculated on fuel consumption, the distance to be covered and the time required to relocate the yacht and crew. Delivery Fees can vary depending on the season, the yacht’s availability and the scheduling of previous or following charters, and are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

At least one month before departure, the Charterer sends the Broker a Preference List containing all the information needed to personalise the experience on board. Through this document guests can indicate food preferences, allergies or intolerances, special requests and any other detail that will help the crew prepare the cruise with the utmost care. This information allows the Captain, chef and crew to arrange every aspect of the service with precision and tailored attention, ensuring an experience perfectly aligned with the guests’ wishes.

The crew gratuity is not included in the charter fee and is generally offered at the end of the cruise as a token of appreciation for the service received on board. In the yachting industry it is customary to recognise an amount typically between 10% and 15% of the charter fee, though it remains entirely discretionary. It is a well-established practice in international charter, which we share openly so guests have a useful reference.
